No one else seems to have had any overheating issues with their iPhone 3GS. From what it looks like right now, this certainly is not a widespread problem! I haven't noticed it on my iPhone 3GS either, have you? I think the one blog that started this may have done it as a hoax! Who knows, maybe they're Zune lovers and iPhone haters, right? How to Activate iPhone 3G S 3.0:
Step 1: Plugin your iPhone and open iTunes
Step 2: Enter your Billing zip code and last 4 digits of ssn
Step 3: A processing screen will come up and it may take up to a minute to process
Step 4: You'll see a screen that says Activation Pending
